01 — Direction
Before deciding what deserves a strategic response, there has to be a future worth pursuing. Without enough clarity about the destination, almost any problem can appear strategic.

We design and facilitate the conversations leadership teams need to have when the stakes are high. Strategy sessions, executive retreats, difficult decisions, competing priorities, leadership transitions, and moments when alignment cannot be assumed. The goal is not a better meeting. It is better thinking, clearer choices, and real ownership of the outcome.
We help leadership teams move from ambition to a coherent strategic response. That includes defining worthy challenges, framing and reframing the problem, testing assumptions, evaluating tradeoffs, establishing intent, and determining what must be true for the response to succeed. This is where the Five I’s can eventually sit beneath the work as the architecture.
Some choices deserve more than instinct, another meeting, or a slide full of pros and cons. We bring structure and disciplined challenge to consequential decisions, helping leaders surface what is really being decided, expose the assumptions underneath each path, understand the tradeoffs, and make the choice with greater confidence.
Not every strategic challenge fits neatly inside an offsite or project. We work alongside executives and leadership teams over time as conditions change, assumptions get tested, new tensions emerge, and important decisions have to be made.
The best time to discover a weakness in a strategy is before reality finds it for you. We create realistic scenarios that put strategic choices under pressure, forcing leaders to think through how competitors, customers, employees, partners, or changing conditions might respond. The purpose is not to predict the future. It is to expose vulnerabilities, challenge assumptions, anticipate second-order effects, and make the response stronger before the stakes are real.
